DJANGO RESTAURANT & BAR
Djust Say Django
DJANGO RESTAURANT & BAR
Des Moines, Iowa
Food Service
Fruits De Mer, Steak Frites and Duck Confit Cassoulet are the cornerstone entrees of this “ALL FRENCH – NO ATTITUDE” Orchestrate Hospitality concept located in the original 1919 Ivory Room of the historic Hotel Fort Des Moines.
PARACHIN’s design for Django balanced a sensitive restoration of the existing ornate plaster ceilings with the infusion of a French Brasserie. A 20 foot U-shaped bar with an interactive raw bar station and imported zinc edge provides the central focus to the space. Diners are greeted by shimmering French copper pots composed behind an imported antique hostess stand. Classic red leather upholstered banquettes are arranged to promote a “See-and-Be-Seen” dining experience. This orchestrated pairing of physical space with Chef Owner George Formaro’s acclaimed culinary vision earned Django a 2009 James Beard Semifinalist nomination for Best New Restaurant.
Note: Django has since relocated to a new building due to new hotel ownership – new location, same design DNA.
